Making It Better along with Gala Chairs, Cristina and Creighton Smith, are thrilled to bring you Magnums Make a Difference, on September 14th at the St. Regis hotel. Join us as we celebrate our 11th annual unique wine event that will bring wine lovers together to help transform the lives of children through literacy. The evening will also honor Bret West, EVP – Division Manager/Energy Services & Equipment, Wells Fargo Energy Group, with the Excellence in Education Award. As a longtime supporter and Board member of Making It Better, Bret exemplifies the role of a servant leader and we are excited to honor him for his efforts.

Magnums Make a Difference features a multi-course gourmet meal paired with your favorite large format bottles to foster an atmosphere of sharing. Enjoy a fun night of fine dining and the opportunity to bid on great silent and live auction items as we raise funds to battle the literacy crisis faced by our children right here in Houston.

For over a decade, Making It Better has been on the frontlines of transforming the lives of underserved and at-risk children and their families. Throughout our history, we have served more than 15,000 children and their parents through critical literacy, leadership, and life skills programming. Our mission and passion are to provide vital programs that build a solid reading foundation while developing social skills that will be instrumental in helping each child achieve success in life.
